"Plenty of blueberry and cherry, spice, ginger biscuit, rosehip, slight soil-like earthiness. It's a fleshy wine, indeed, plump, with a plenty of spice and ginger root, earthy and silty, raspberry and redcurrant, but has this wild edge and joyous character and bounce. Thick as Thieves 'Driftwood' Yarra Gamay Pinot Noir 2023

'Very nice. Strawberry shortcake, cherry, venison and juniper berry, and quite spicy, minty and floral too. It has a pleasing density, a good burst of spicy strawberry and cherry, kind of meaty and bunchy, a distinct 'mineral' feel to it, fine grainy and gently peppery tannin, with a bright and sappy finish of excellent length. Complex and varietal. Aromas of honeysuckle, deli meats and malt with hints of green pineapple and ginger. Background sulphides add a further layer of interest.Textured and balanced. A generous core of fruit to start followed by fine tannins that build on the mid and back palate. Flavours of green pineapple and wet slate. A viscous mouthfeel and a dry savoury finish that screams out for food!

Meaty, spicy with red capsicum and pepper, blue and purple fruit, and a fair amount of dried herb and flower perfume. It's medium-bodied, crisp and kind of slatey in feel, juicy dark small berries, fine silty tannin, freshness with distinctly meaty peppery flavour, and a crisp dry and savoury finish of excellent length. "Fruit from Kangaroo Ground with 50/50% whole bunches/berries sealed in a stainless pot for 20 days. Matured in seasoned French hogsheads and puncheons with minimal sulphur added before bottling.
